State Schools Relief exists to remove financial barriers to learning, providing essential items like uniforms that help children participate fully in school.
But the most important thing SSR gives isn’t a uniform. It’s confidence.
From this, came our central truth:
Confidence grows.
Every item SSR provides, and every barrier it removes, helps a child grow in confidence.
And that confidence grows the child - becoming the foundation for belonging, participation, and learning.
Rather than defining SSR by its services, we repositioned the brand to put children at the centre.
Our logo concept starts with a child, with SSR represented as confidence radiating outwards – a simple expression of how confidence grows, and how it helps children grow.
We developed “confidence” as a visual storytelling device in imagery that highlights, draws focus, and supports children.

We created a visual identity system that reflected the brand’s optimism.
Designed to flex from restrained corporate communications and fundraising to expressive community engagement, the system puts the confidence of children at the centre of every expression.
The result? An authentic brand with a compelling story, built to grow with confidence.
