Anthony Edge, Head of Digital at Fuel

I’ve always believed the best digital work is the kind you don’t notice - because it just works.

At Fuel, we don’t chase buzzwords or over-design things. We make digital tools that help our clients connect with their customers more clearly and effectively - whether that’s a lightweight HTML5 banner campaign, a new site build, or a quick update to a CMS that just needs to be done right.

My day can range from refining user journeys and checking accessibility, to animating ad units, optimising image assets, wrangling browser quirks, or making sure an SSL certificate doesn’t expire over a long weekend. It’s broad work, and it has to be - digital doesn’t live in just one box anymore.

But no matter the task, the goal stays the same: deliver something that works well, looks sharp, and makes life easier for the people using it.

Sometimes that means solving invisible problems. A faster page load. A clearer navigation label. An email that renders properly in Outlook and Gmail. These are the little wins that often go unnoticed - but together, they create trust.

We’re not here to reinvent the web every day. We’re here to make sure the digital parts of our clients’ brands are reliable, responsive, and effective. That’s what builds value. That’s what earns attention.

And that’s what I enjoy most about the job.
